“I usually take the #1 to the Transit Center then take the DASH to campus. My boyfriend and I share a car and if he has it I take the bus. When my car broke down a few weeks ago, I took the bus everywhere. It was EASY and FREE.”
Elizabeth is a student at The University of Akron and utilizes her Zip Card to get free fares on METRO’s line-service routes. All students, staff, and faculty can ride free with their Zip Card.
“As students, we are very fortunate to ride free. I love METRO… I tell everyone about it. We live on W. Market and there’s a bus stop right in front of our apartment. I always feel safe on the bus and all the drivers I’ve had have been friendly. My boyfriend and I want to take METRO to Cleveland sometime and spend a day out there.”
