Meet the voice behind many of METRO’s radio spots! Bill has been recording in the studio for over four decades and was the familiar voice of WJW Fox 8 Television in Cleveland for over 30 years.
But his talents aren’t limited to his work behind the mic. Bill had an acting role in the movie “Unstoppable,” starring Denzel Washington, and in several television commercials, including one for METRO as their unofficial salesman Philip D. Buss! (See what we did there?)

“I’ve been riding METRO off and on for about 20 years. I take Arlington — the #2 — to the grocery store and the #1 to the mall. Lately I’ve been taking Howard/Portage Trail to visit my wife who is in a nursing home in Cuyahoga Falls. I always say hello and goodbye to all the drivers.”
“We come up (to the Transit Center) once a month to help people sign up for food stamps and SNAP benefits. People get excited about this because it saves them a trip to Job & Family Services. Us being the middle man makes it easier. They can bring proper verification and it gets the ball rolling. Last year we helped about 150 people.”
